the death of animu? 2012 a year early? scare?
a law was passed in japan limiting depictions in anime that would disturb the mental health of children. specifically targetting : fanservice, violence, k-on!!. (lol no jk about k-on!!) in anime.
scary? yes. apparently it won't go into affect until 2011, but the blow has been dealt.
sound familiar? it's sort of like the loli-ban, but no.
but I for one, am not too worried. i actually believe in japan to get through it and provide us with the goods. just a new way to rate things PG-13 to M (or as i call it PG-15). japan has a miracle way to get through these bans, either, as my friend suggested, they will move out to another country where they won't be sued (korea looks pretty nice right now, since their manga/anime are showing some serious promise), or as i think they will do, is they will just be damn creative about it. have you seen some comiket doujins (adult variety)? the censoring is quite... minimum. i mean, it's like, is that even accomplishing anything? it's not mosaic, it's a black bar, but it's.... ANYWAY. back on topic.
the new law is scary, but we have time to prepare. and as the past has shown us with the loli-ban, in the end the money generated for the economy from sales of otaku goods and the demand for these kinds of anime is amazincredible to say the least. it doesn't look good, but with time and experience, the loli-flow will stabilize and we'll be catching fanservice at every turn again.

off track
odd how it took a 2 paragraph story about an insane 500 year old vampire loli to get me back on track.
for the past few days i've been feeling more and more depressed, attaching myself to stories of furries and stuff. i think my life force may be tied to lolies or something because the moment i finished that story and started craving for a loli, i realized i was full of energy and zeal.
crazy random happenstances take it, i was in just the right place to sate this craving for "little-girl". i was at a gensokyo-directory (actually the touhou wikia), and i filled my head with knowledge of the happenings of these fantastical girls. specifically a certain famous "knowledge".
anyway, immediately proceeding this re-love, i started drawing. pumping out one of my new masterpieces (the kind i'd put in my portfolio kind of masterpieces. [masterpieces were normally made to get you accepted into an artist guild]). i'm sitting here in class just itching to get home and scan/clean it.
mmmm.... flandre scarlet.
